Writer's Workshop has begun!

This week we took our first steps into writing workshop! During writer's workshop your young learner will apply all their letter and letter sound learning to write stories. We are starting by writing about things we know a lot about! We have been working so hard to study and look closely at sunflowers, we decided to start there. We worked together to draw a diagram of a sunflower. We added labels and created a mental image in our minds of what else a sunflower might need. Writers then added rain, the sun, roots and clouds. I am so amazed with all they have been able to do!!

Each writer was given a special writing folder in which to keep all of their pieces. They were so excited and proud. I hope you learner can tell you all about our journey!
