Scientists continued to use ipads to study animals and record new learning on Non-Fiction note taking sheets. I hope your learner was able to read you some facts as their notes came home!
Readers worked to circle "heart words" in these little books. When we work on little books during thinking and learning time these readers keep them in their shopping book bags to practice during Readers Workshop.
Your thinkers continue to work to build 'CVC' (consonant, vowel, consonant) words. As these come home ask your child to tell you the sounds in each word and blend them together to say the whole word.
Our writers worked to make Valentine Cards for our special staff here at Spencer! Mrs. Fleet, Mrs. M., Mrs. Peters, Mrs. Berry, Mrs. Brick and Mr. Renner each had bags for Fawn Friends to mail their special messages. We took the bags to these wonderful members of our staff today. I know they appreciated all the hard work that was put into them!
